When Jaclyn was 13 she was already 5'11" and was much taller than her teachers, parents and peers even before graduating elementary school. She began watching fashion shows on tv and learning as much about the industry as possible, and was inspired that there were women out there who actually looked like her! At 16 years old, it was time to pursue her dream. She signed her first modeling contract and within weeks she was walking the runway of at Toronto Fashion Week! Jaclyn has also modeled several seasons for Toronto Fashion Incubator. Other clients Jaclyn has worked for include: Calvin Klein, Izzy Camilleri, Evan Biddel, Triarchy, Marie Genevieve Cyr, Jayn Simpson, Ula Zukowska, GISH by Susan Bosley, Kavi Kavi, Andrew Majtenyi, The Bay, Morales, and many more! You may have also seen Jaclyn as a model on the first season of Project Runway Canada for designer Shernett Swaby.

While pursuing her modeling career, Jaclyn graduated from the Fashion Business program at Seneca College. She has a passion for all facets of the fashion industry, and has also worked as a sales representative showcasing the latest trends for designers, as well as acting as a mentor the interns and co-op students interested in the industry.

Before pursuing modeling, Christy went to Sheridan College for Visual Arts and Design. Christy attended the Sutherland Academy in 2010 and since completing the program she has been working as a model in Toronto for print, runway, film and promotional clients. Some of Christy's clients include: Heidi Ackerman, MAC Cosmetics, Aveda, the Ritz Carlton, Lucid Magazine, Mass Exodus and Yves Saint Laurent.  In her spare time, Christy enjoys giving back to the community. Her passion lies in mentoring young girls and helping them move forward with their lives while encouraging them to make their dreams come true! Christy is always looking to further her career - she just completed acting classes and she plans on traveling abroad in the future!

Anne grew up in Strasbourg, France.  While studying Aesthetics after high school, Anne realized that she had a talent for enhancing the natural beauty of women. After going back to school to become a professional make-up and FX artist,. Anne moved to Toronto in 2005 and joined the coaching team at Sutherland where she has been a makeup instructor since August 2005.

Anne is very enthusiastic about teaching women and teenagers how to look their very best, and she loves sharing this passion with our students!.

With over 8 years of experience as an accomplished international freelance makeup artist, Tannia brings a wealth of experience to the Sutherland Academy.  Combining a flair for stunning makeup with a professional approach and attention to detail, Tannia  believes that everyone can maximize their potential by learning to bring out their best features with make-up.  Tannia also has an Aesthetics background and strongly believes that not only is makeup important, but that the condition of the canvas makes all the difference!

Kerri is a graduate of George Brown College in Yorkville and works as a freelance Make-up Artist working for clients including catalogues and magazines.  She specializes in skin preparation, print and bridal make up application and special effects. Kerri believes beauty is in the eye of the beholder. She is thrilled to help our students learn how to enhance their natural beauty!

Kim has been involved in athletics and in the fitness industry for most of her life. Having a background in Muay Thai, Kickboxing and MMA,  Kim's passion for learning and teaching has taken her all over the world. She was the 2nd female in Canada to become a certified Krav Maga Instructor, and is also a Certified Personal Trainer Specialist, a Nutrition Consultant and a Certified Yoga Teacher. Kim's goal is to empower females of all ages and train them how to respond both mentally and physically in a time of need.  She utilizes a balance of humour and understanding in her coaching style. She also holds a Psychology Degree from The University of Western Ontario and brings with her a genuine passion for working in the field of human service.
