Jennifer considers herself fortunate to have made her living in the entertainment industry for over 10 years. She started modeling at age 15 and has worked in Europe, Australia, New York and Los Angeles. 

Jennifer was inspired to begin teaching after working with legendary acting coach Larry Moss, author of "The Intent to live" and coach to Hilary Swank, Leonardo DiCaprio, Helen Hunt, Tobey Maguire and numerous other renowned greats. She continues to hone her craft in the areas of voice and movement in addition to private coaching and scene study. She has also worked as an on set dialogue coach to such actors as Kate Jackson.

Jennifer has gained a wealth of hidden insight into the casting process working behind the scenes as a reader, casting assistant and session director and brings that knowledge to her students.

When Jaclyn was 13 she was already 5'11". She was much taller than her teachers, parents and peers even before graduating elementary school. She began watching fashion shows on tv and learning as much about the industry as possible. She was so inspired that there were women out there who actually looked like her! At 16 years old, it was time to pursue her dream. She signed her first modeling contract and within weeks she was walking the runway of FCUK at Toronto Fashion Week! Jaclyn has also modeled for the Elle Show for three years at Toronto's Fashion Incubator. While pursuing her modeling career, Jaclyn has graduated from the Fashion Business program at Seneca College. She has a passion for all facets of the fashion industry. She has worked full time for two different Sales Agencies as a Sales Representative showcasing the latest trends for each collection. During this time she was able to mentor the interns and co-op students interested in the industry.

Before pursuing modeling, Christy went to Sheridan College for Visual Arts and Design. After graduation she decided it was time to pursue her dream and start her modeling career. Christy attended the Sutherland Academy in 2010. After completing the program she has been working as a model in Toronto for print, runway, film and promotions. Christy has worked with many clients including: Heidi Ackerman, MAC Cosmetics, Aveda, the Ritz Carlton, Lucid Magazine Mass Exodus and Yves Saint Laurent. Christy is always a pleasure to work with. After working with her once, clients always call her back again! In her spare time, Christy enjoys giving back to the community. Deirdre attended the Sutherland Academy at a young age. Before further pursuing her modeling career, she completed her B.A. from the University of Western Ontario. She is now a runway and commercial print model. She has been featured in ad campaigns, such as King West magazine and the international fashion book “The Final Collection. She has also walked the runway for many Toronto based designers, such as Comrags, Lucien Matis and many more. Eager to learn about all aspects of the industry, Deirdre has worked on the business side of LG Toronto Fashion Week with the Fashion Design Council of Canada and Monarch Events Group. She is currently working as a model and a Sutherland Academy coach while embracing her enthusiasm for health and fitness; Deirdre is working towards a Registered Dietitian degree.

Tea had wanted to model since she was 14. When she was 19 years old, she moved to Toronto to pursue her dream. After signing with Sutherland Models, Tea has worked with many clients including, Holt Renfrew, Harlequin Romance Novels, Sears, The Bay, Sporttek, La Senza, Winners, Reach Toothbrush, and Pringles Chips.  She has international experience as a model working in Asia, Montreal and Toronto and is now modeling and acting full time in Montreal and Toronto. She has been a great asset to Sutherland Models and is very well liked by the students she that she teaches.

Anne grew up in Starsbourg, France and studied Aesthetic’s after high school but soon realized that she had a talent for enhancing the natural beauty of women. She went back to school to become a professional make-up and FX artist. Anne moved to Toronto in 2005 and joined the coaching team at Sutherland where she has been a makeup instructor since August 2005.

Anne is very enthusiastic to teach women and teenagers how to look their best and improve their appearances.

Kerri was born and raised in Ontario. She decided to follow her passion for make-up and attended George Brown Collage in Yorkville, Toronto. Kerri works as a freelance Make-up Artist catering to many clients including catalog work for Hamilton's Theatrical Supply, the Jaea magazine fashion show and Faze magazine events. She specializes in skin preparation, print and bridal make up application and special effects. Kerri believes beauty is in the eye of the beholder. She is thrilled to help enhance one's natural beauty.

Following her passion, Melissa entered the industry 6 years ago when she pursued a career as a model. She has appeared in many local magazine publications and on the Emmy award-winning real estate show Open House LA in Los Angeles, California. For two years, Melissa traveled back and forth from Canada to the United States working as an independent blogger covering the daily Celebrity News, Beauty Tips and Tricks, sneak peek Fashion Finds and Trends and Hollywood Hotspots. Melissa is currently a makeup artist and product specialist with MAC Cosmetics. She shares her expertise and industry knowledge through teaching at the Academy. Melissa’s talent and creativity continues to shine through her work as a freelance make up artist for bridal, prom, photo shoot and event clients.

Carley Simandl was born in Toronto, Canada. Completed training at Complections International. She proudly represented herself as a freelance Make-up Artist for over five years and experienced highlights that have allowed her to travel around the world.

Wanting to contribute back to the industry she became a teacher at The School of Make-up Art in Yorkville. Her passion continued to grow and her fascination with the skin was most intriguing due to the patterns she observed on working with hundreds of faces. Dehydrated skin is the new normal and it challenging working on a canvas that is malnourished.

She started doing research to determine what feeds the skin in order to offer beauty from the inside out. Discovering that the skin is a direct reflection of how you feed your body she decided to go back to school for Nutrition. Carley has now graduated from the Canadian school of Natural Nutrition as Registered Holistic Nutritionist.

Kim has been involved in athletics and the fitness industry for most of her life. Having a background in Muay Thai, Kickboxing and MMA her passion for learning and teaching has taken her all over the world. She was the 2nd female in Canada to become a certified Krav Maga Instructor. Her goal is to empower females of all ages and train them how to respond both mentally and physically in a time of need. Kim is also a Certified Personal Trainer Specialist, a Nutrition Consultant and a Certified Yoga Teacher. She utilizes a balance of humour and understanding in her coaching style. She also holds a Psychology Degree from The University of Western Ontario and brings with her a genuine passion for working in the field of human service.
